retreat pics

Nina, Trish and Carolyn enjoying a few minutes break from scrapping!
Vickie is using our fab tool table- thanks to those who bought sewing machines, cricut, laptop and printer etc.
Me and Rachel sitting, Trish and Karen pottering.

Nina scrapping and Jules chatting.
Vicky and Karen working hard :)

My memory card has died on me! The shop changed it for me- but sadly I lost all my retreat and holiday photos. Thankfully Chris Gregory emailed me some that she had taken- thanks Chris. The more I think about our retreat the more I want to go back and have another!
It's the crop tonight so we will see what everyone else thinks- but my guess is we will have to work out some dates,

A huge success!

It was a fab weekend- worth all the hard work. Everyone seemed to have a great time and made some great projects. Our barn was amazing! Luxury living- teamed up with fantastic views of the rolling Derbyshire hills and lots of sunshine. What more could we have asked? Thanks so much to all of you for your support and hard work. Everyone did what they agreed to do and we didn't even need to send out for food- everyone bought so much yummy stuff with them. Sadly, my bad back rebelled agains the sitting up for hours scrapping, and I ended up having to go home on saturday night. I was gutted to leave, but had no choice. I will take better care of it next time (yes, next time!) Start saving girls :) I have some great photos- but am having problems with my camera at the mo- but keep checking back. Best memories of the weekend:- Louise's chocolate fountain, Trish's lasagne (why is it always food with me????), little Rachel's enthusiasm and smile:), lovely books to browse through, being mothered and looked after, Karen's fabby book and instructions, Trish's class, 14 scrapbookers getting down to scrapping (yes, even Shell), Carolyns camera action, and lovely lovely people to be inspired by and to spend time with. Thanks everyone!

retreat :)

It's here! The retreat weekend has arrived at last. My car is choc-a-block with scrapping goodies. I literally could not get anything else in (other than a little bit of space for Shell who's coming with me). My goals are to make a grattitude journal and to relax and enjoy good company. Should be easy :) I've got goodie bags for everyone attending, a class to make phot cubes, and a demmo of my new love- beeswax! This amazing stuff is fantastic to work with. It smells wonderful and can be scraped, smoothed and used as glue. You can layer embellishments into the wax so it looks like they are floating. Will have to post the cover for my journal when it's done.

Altered Clock

For some time Kevin has been complaining that I am always very late coming to bed. The reason? There is no clock in my scrap room. I do tend to lose track of time, so I decided it had to change. I bought this very basic and not very pretty clock from Lidl in Cannock for £4.99 and altered it so it will fit in with my scrap room decor :) I loved doing it ..........so I'm thinking, where else do I need a clock???

Happy new year!

I LOVE the new year- a fresh start, lots of opportunities and good things to look forward to. I am especially enjoying my new Memory Dock creative planner. For the first time in.........ever, I have planned a menu for the week and have a shopping list to go with it! It didn't come cheap because I had to have every insert that you buy separately, then I got caught for customs, but it is still worth it :) I went for the green, my colour of the moment, and I love that I can change the photo in the front cover whenever I want. It has a layout planning section with a template for various sized scrapbook pages. Now I can be scrapping wherever I am! I am also into clock faces at the mo..so here is a nice clock face to download and print on a transparency to add to your pages. That's what I am planning to do.

What a sad excuse for a blogger I am! Life has just run away with me. I am so excited (as usual) about this Christmas season. We went to thGerman Christmas market last night. It was so different! Loved it. Phoebe enjoyed pottering around looking at all the "pretties", and we enjoyed some hot waffles, what more could we want?

I've finally got the crop dates for next year. There will a change of venue one month because of repairs to the Reading Room, but we don't know when. It's not iminent anyway.

The picture is a nice idea I found for a Christmas banner- it's not mine, it was a link from Heidi Swapp's web page.
