Grungy Inspirations

I had a great creative excursion with Trish- we went to some fabric/arty shops in Eccleshall and Newport which were a joy! Oliver Twists in Newport and Pollyanna Patchwork in Eccleshall. Such amazing fabrics, I wanted to take the whole lot home! I noticed there are some new demos on Tim Holtz's web site, inspiring as ever, ENJOY!

Update

The adult learners week class - the hall will be open from 7pm, the class will start around 7.15 to 7.30. Please bring glues, scissors, pencil and anything else you usually need. There are still a few places left :) I'm excited about teaching it.

Free Class

Good news! We received some funding to run a class during adult learners week. The idea was that we would use the class to encourage people who are new to scrapbooking, or new to our group. There are some places left so I am now opening it up to any group member who would like to come and bring a friend or relative with them. It's 7.30 to 9 pm on Friday 21st May in our usual venue in Cannock. Email me if you want a place. I'm not sure what the class will be exactly, but I am considering a Tim Holtz style tag book. Further updates to come.

Dry Spell

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I'm having one of those rare dry spells where I have totally lost my mojo! Nothing is inspiring me:( When I get a time like this it usually means there are other things on my mind, or I need a break. Maybe it's time for a creative excursion. I get in the car and go shopping, not to buy but to check out the new seasons colours in clothes shops or interior design shops. Usually something will attract my eye and I will be inspired, and that is the most wonderful feeling! I love it when my head is so full of ideas I have to get them all out and scribble on any little scrap of paper in my bag. Inspiration is out there, you just have to find it. Sorry I'm not providing much for you at the moment, but come back soon!

Crop time!

I'm looking forward to this months crop on Saturday, 10 till 3. Karen and Carol are doing a demo, Ellie's bringing her shop, what more can we ask for?? Bring your own things to work on. Not sure what I'm doing yet, I'll probably decide 9 am Saturday!! In the meantime the sun is shining so I'm off to a garden centre so I can feel like spring is FINALY here :)
